Hey, valentines day was actually really nice!Β  I got flowers from my parents yesterday which was a real suprise!

So today I went to get the package that my parents sent me that had the mittens my mom made me which are awesome by the way! plus a bunch of valentines goodies! You guys spoil me so bad! but I love it. πŸ˜‰

This weekend I have to do 30 concept sketches for Model and Prototype, we are designing a handheld beater or blender. I have 21 so far and I really like some of them. My favorite looks like a pistol! hehe, It makes me laugh….

So after getting my package from weston house I went over to Erica’s for a while to work on sketches while she worked on her embroidery project. Funfun…. Homework with friends is much better than just plain homework!

So, after that I came home and caught the bus out toΒ  Barnard Village and Elysia’s Valentine’s Day Singles Awareness Party! Which was great and had lots of good food! Yummy! I am stuffed! So, this weekend has been good so far! Hopefully I can finish everything up tomorrow!

Finished the Hat! February 10, 2009

Yay! Last night I finished my Inga hat while I was talking to my mom on Skype! I love it!

happiness!

happiness!

Of course I would finish it after all that cold weather we had last week! Oh well, if nothing else I can wear it when I go home for Spring break and my Birthday! 21 baby! whooot! hahahaa! I am definitely excited for that one! And I am finally going to get my drivers licence too! not that that is really going to help me with my endless state of carlessness….. πŸ˜› Oh well, best not to dwell on that… I will just focus on how much I love my hat.

In other news, I finished my mill block project with out any trouble, though a couple of measurements are a hair off. This however makes me feel quite guilty because so many people are going through loads of blocks and not getting a good one. 😦 In Computer Aided we got a new project, we have to design a tradeshow booth in Rhino, I am a little unsure of my design so far, but I think I am designing for Bianchi Bicycles. Or maybe, if that doesn’t work out, Smart Car. ?? we’ll see.

And my closing statement, I am making spaghetti for dinner, yummy!

A Beautiful day in Savannah! February 9, 2009

My Lord! I love this beautiful weather! Today it supposedly got to 76 degrees! I am so glad the warm weather is back, it has been cold for way too long.

So, this morning during class I finished off my milling project for model shop class, I think it turned out pretty good, and I didn’t even have to do multiples like most people did! that made me happy….. Anyway, after class I took my bike and ran a few errands around town before going to 5 guys for lunch and then shopping! I went to Urban Outfitters to buy some coolio green nail polish that I saw the last time I was there. I felt a little guilty because I know how many bad chemicals are in nail polish, but I figure if all my other body products are organic one little bottle of nail polish won’t hurt. Plus it looks really cool.

See? totally worth the risk

I also bought some cool coral beads from a bead shop on Broughton, did a honey tasting at The Savannah Bee Company (yummy! especially the black sage honey!), and got a very good iced raspberry Americano from the Ambrosia Cafe. Over all, a very pleasant and succesful day!

Here is a pic of my lamp project, I really like it, but I got a B on it. I guess because my seam between the two halves is not completely invisible.

And finally, my knitting wip! The Inga hat knit up in Dale of Norway Freestyle. I really love this pattern, It is my first color work project!
